Program Objectives

  • To equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the historical development and key concepts in fashion design, enabling them to describe and contextualize the evolution of the industry.
  • To develop students' ability to apply creative thinking and design principles in the creation of innovative fashion sketches and garments, encouraging originality and artistic expression.
  • To provide students with essential technical skills in garment construction, including cutting, sewing, and draping techniques, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and production capabilities.
  • To train students to create advanced textile and clothing designs using CAD software, integrating modern technology into the design process to enhance precision and efficiency.
  • To develop students' ability to evaluate and select appropriate textiles and materials for fashion design, emphasizing the importance of material properties and suitability for specific design projects.
  • To enhance students' skills in illustrating and communicating fashion concepts effectively through various visual media, enabling clear and compelling presentation of their design ideas.
  • To instill an understanding of sustainable design principles, encouraging students to integrate environmentally responsible practices into their fashion design projects.
