ASU Venture X is available to UNI students through selected subjects. Successful completion can contribute up to 20% of the course assessment and earns students an official Arizona State University certificate.

Designed for aspiring entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, and innovators, the program develops the mindset, tools, and strategies needed to move a venture from idea to launch. Students work through the 7 Cs of innovation management, apply lean startup principles, reduce risk through testing, and shape a pitch around business model strength, value proposition, and return on investment.

Course content

Module 1

Explore the origins and value of lean startup and marketplace engagement methods, then draft the foundations of your pitch: the problem, motivation, and proposed solution.

Module 2

Focus on customer development, creativity, and contextual connections through marketplace interactions, competitor analysis, and refinement of both the solution and the pitch narrative.

Module 3

Sharpen the unique value proposition, complete the evidence-based pitch, and integrate the revenue model, go-to-market strategy, and investment ask into one venture proposal.
