A Public Lecture with the Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo
On June 8th, 2012, the Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo, Mr. Gani Gërguri held a lecture on “The Role of CBK in Ensuring Financial Stability” at the Universum University College in Pristina.
During the lecture, the Gov. Gërguri elaborated on the role of CBK in Kosovo, its objectives and also discussed the financial and fiscal crises of the European Union.
The governor stressed that the Central Bank is by law independent and free of influence by the Government, although its policies try to match that of the Government in order to achieve greater results. In addition, the governor emphasized the positive results CBK has achieved in different fields.
The governor was very impressed by the preparedness of our students and encouraged them to apply to job openings and internships at CBK during the summer which is the most active period of the year for the institution.
